He is one of the veterans at Juventus both when it comes to age and also from an experience point of view. He arrived in Turin for the first time in 2003 and in the last 4 seasons confirmed himself as being one of the strongest and most elegant defenders. He can play in both positions as central defender and is capable of taking advantage of aerial play during the attacking phase. He has been reunited with Luigi Del Neri, the coach who launched him during his time with Chievo.
